The SPHERIC International Workshop has taken place in Europe every summer since 2006, with two additional Asian workshops, one that took place in October 2017, and one that will take place in June 2021.

For the 15th edition of the International SPHERIC Workshop, a member university from the United States of America has been chosen. This choice is expected to bridge the scientific activities and interests of the European and American SPH communities, as well as universities and research institutions from nearby countries. The SPHERIC Workshop brings together the global academic and industrial research community, with attendance to recent workshops ranging from 100 to 130 delegates.

The proposed programme for the 15th Workshop includes:

• A preliminary training day including two theoretical lectures and hands-on training with SPH open-source tools.
• The training day is aimed at PhD students and other researchers new to the field, but open to all.
