8^th International Workshop on Turbulent Combustion of Sprays (TCS8) - Summary report

The 8^th International Workshop on Turbulent Combustion of Sprays (TCS8) was held at the Steigenberger Nile Palace Luxor Hotel and Convention Centre, Luxor, Egypt,
on January 22, 2023.

The TCS workshop is traditionally organized in conjunction with the Mediterranean Combustion Symposium (which held its 12^th edition). The general objective of the workshop series remains to develop further insight and advance capabilities for the computation of reacting and non-reacting turbulent spray flows by facilitating strong interactions between experimentalists and modelers.

There were 30 participants, including 15 students. The program consisted of: an invited lecture; a session reporting on comparative studies for three spray burners (respectively known as: CORIA Rouen Spray Burner; Sydney Needle Spray burner; and Cambridge swirl spray flames); a poster session; invited highlights; and a summary and conclusions session. The full report from the workshop will be published in ERCOFTAC Bulletin in June 2023.
